The Georgian is a historic, architecturally unique mixed-use property situated two blocks from the university of Georgia campus and one block from The Classic Center, Athens' home for performing arts and conventions. A familiar sight in downtown Athens, it was designed by A. Ten Eyck Brown in 1909, five years before he designed the Athens-Clarke County Courthouse.

The Property has had only two owners since 1945 and was operated as a hotel until the early 1970s - it was the first hotel in the state to have an air conditioned restaurant, the first to offer direct dial telephones in guest rooms, and the first to meet fire safety codes imposed statewide after the tragic Winecoff Hotel fire in Atlanta. In 1985, it was converted from a hotel to an upscale residential apartment building, and has since been designated a historic landmark within the Downtown Athens Historic District. This is your chance to own a part of Athens' history!
